Aussie brands look to Brazil for international expansion
Brazil was the focus recently for four Australian franchise brands looking to expand their offering overseas and appoint master franchisees.
With the support of the Franchise Council of Australia, BBX, Blow Dry Bar, Seduce and Zambrero were represented at the Brazil Expo by Global Franchise Partners.
The brands were showcased in the international franchise corridor at the expo alongside brands from Belgium, France, Russia, Spain and the US.
Alan Branch of Global Franchise Partners said “The Brazil market should now be a focus of Australian and other overseas franchise systems as the Brazil economy is buoyant and welcomes international investment and franchise brands.
“Currently franchising represents approximately four percent of the Brazil GDP and therefore significant growth potential exists for successful international franchise brands.”
In comparison revenues generated from franchising in Australia equates to 18 percent of GDP, said Branch.
The expo covered 31,000 sq m with over 500 exhibitors participating and was expected to generate about $200 million in business.
